Liquid Silicone Heat Transfer Label Process Demonstration

The Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) Thermal Transfer Label process is a specialized method for permanently marking LSR components during molding. It begins by printing high-resolution text or barcodes onto a special film using a thermal transfer printer. This pre-printed label is then precision-placed into the open injection mold cavity. The mold closes, and liquid silicone is injected under high heat and pressure. During the curing cycle, the ink from the label and the LSR substrate undergo a molecular fusion, becoming a single, inseparable unit. The result is a exceptionally durable, abrasion-resistant mark that is embedded into the part itself, not merely applied on the surface. This creates a permanent identification capable of withstanding harsh conditions like sterilization, chemicals, and extreme temperatures, making it ideal for medical, automotive, and consumer goods applications.
